Bathroom renovation in Ibiza

A bathroom fails because of what you cannot see: a poor waterproof membrane, a slope that does not drain, or no ventilation. The finish comes second; the protection comes first.

We renovate complete bathrooms in Ibiza in three to five weeks, with new plumbing, tested waterproofing and materials chosen for salt, humidity and daily use.

  • Demolition and waste removal.

  • WC, basin, shower, screen and vanity.
  • Extraction, lighting and final sealing.

What drives the price

A 4–6 m² bathroom with mid-range finishes starts at €6,000–9,000. Microcement, natural stone, a freestanding bath and designer fittings can take it to €12,000–18,000. In Ibiza, plumbing, damp and access usually matter more than the tiles.

Mistakes that cost twice

  • Waterproofing the floor but not the shower walls.
  • Tiling before the leak test.
  • Choosing materials without checking how they age with humidity.
  • Leaving ventilation until the end.
  • Moving the drain without correcting the fall.

A bathroom redone after a leak costs almost double. Do it once, properly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Anything else you need to know? Write to us and we will answer honestly. Talk to the team

How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Three to five weeks if the layout and plumbing stay in place. A small bathroom can be finished in fifteen working days; microcement needs longer to cure.
Can I use the bathroom during the work?
Not during demolition and waterproofing. If there is another bathroom, it stays usable. If not, we install a temporary WC and plan water cuts by the hour.
Do I need a licence?
Usually a prior communication or responsible declaration if structure and façade are untouched. Changing the layout or protected elements may require a minor works licence.
Is microcement a good idea in Ibiza?
Yes, when correctly applied and sealed. It is continuous, has no joints and handles humidity well. It needs a stable substrate and periodic sealing.
